Antique folk art P E I large goose decoy hunting fishing tramp art Adirondack

Description

Very nice vintage folk art goose decoy from Prince Edward Island.  This rare goose is in the sleeping position and was probably made by
W. Roy Mill Kensington, P E I circa 1950.  See "Decoys of Maritime Canada" page 122 for similar examples.
All his decoys are unique and this is a great example in very good "shot over" condition.
The size is 23" long x 14" high x 8" wide.  A nice size goose.
Almost all these large bodied decoys show signs of the wood splitting due to shrinking.  This is the normal aging process.
Painted on the bottom are the initials W R M  (W. Roy Mill)  The decoy carver.
You are only buying the goose in the feeding position, the other geese are offered in separate listing.
