Description
Early Bluebill drake by Ken Anger, Dunnville Ontario c.1930's. Rare smooth back design where there is typically incised feather carving. Hollow bodied. According to Richard O'Connor, who carved and hunted with Anger, recounted in an article written in 'North American Decoys Winter 1976', "The majority of birds show a grooved wing pattern, but for a few close friends Ken made decoys without this pattern for fifty cents less per bird." Condition: Very good original condition.
