Boyds Collection Hunter's Wood Duck Decorative.Decoy

Description

This is a Boyd's Collection Hunter.s Wood Duck Decorative Decoy Decorative Decoy.  It is stamped on the bottom with the Boyd's Collection Logo and the date, 1982-1987.  It is also signed by the artist, G. Lowenthal.  As you can see from the photos the decoy is finished with a combination of paint and stained wood.  Wings and tail are carved in relief, eyes are glass.  The decoy is in like new condition with an original tag and no damage that we could find of any kind.  It is  12.4.5 inches long, 6 inches wide, 5.5 inches high, and weighing just over 1 pound, 4 ounces.
Boyd's Collection Decoys were made by a company in Pennsylvania started by Gary Lowenthal and his wife beginning in the late 1970"s.  Their company made a variety of well done decorative decoys such as this one.  They also developed a line of stuffed bears and other collectable type figures and were very successful, eventually selling their company.   We have no information on the number of this particular decoy that were made but there are currently none listed that we could find for sale.  We will offer this one at 5.00 or best offer and invite you to look at it closely.  We thought it a nice addition to a Boyd's Decoy Collection and certainly a gift to be treasured in any man cave or cabin.  (We also have one of their Hunter's Collection Canadian Goose Decoys and we offer it for sale also.  You might look at it as we can offer a savings on a combined purchase on both the sales price and shipping costs.)
