Up for auction is a beautifully detailed vintage Chilmark heavy solid pewter Mallard "Shang" Wheeler Duck Decoy replica figurine sculpted by George de Lodzia in excellent condition. The figurine measures 1 1/4" tall 3 3/4" wide and 1 1/4" deep
. This figurine has stamped on the "Mallard c.1922 "Shang" Wheeler George de Lodzia Chilmark Fine Pewter 185" This piece was made as a tribute to Charles E Shang the man who made wood duck decoys an art form with his "Shang Wheeler Mallard Ducks and resembles an early “Shang” Wheeler decoy.
This lovely solid pewter figurine nicely compliment any electric train sets western/frontier wilderness safari, nautical, diorama scenery, dollhouse miniature, circus animal display or home office desk fireplace mantel art or paperweight
