.  The musical opened in NYC on 03/15/70 and ran for 688 performances.  Inside are production photos, headshot photos, bios, costume sketches by Ann Roth, set sketches by Ben Edwards and critics' quotes.  Cast includes Robert Guillaume, Patti Jo, Art Wallace, Norma Donaldson, Barry Smith, Ken Gilman and Jo Marie Payton.  Music by Gary Geld, lyrics by Peter Udell and book by Ossie Davis, Philip Rose and Peter Udell (based on the play Purlie Victorious by Ossie Davis).  D
irected by Stockton Briggle and choreographed by Al Perryman

Souvenir programs are 9 x 12 inches but may vary somewhat in size.
Condition is near excellent with minor wear including a scuff on the front cover and a name written in ink on the top right edge.

CONDITION:
I use a six-step condition scale to describe the overall paper quality:  Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.  Good means just that:  desireable for a collection with no immediate need to upgrade.  Excellent and Mint are usually reserved for publisher and music store remainders.  Expect Good-minus and Fair to have considerable wear.  All specific condition faults are noted after the general condition.
