Rare Original 1919 Sears & Roebuck Invoice / Receipt and Warranty for a Bicycle

Evidently, a young Michael Oeder placed an order with Sears and Roebuck for a boys bicycle with the twenty inch frame on July 3, 1919.  According to the receipt, the young man from Standish, Michigan paid .95 for it at the time. The bicycle was shipped shortly later, on July 19th, and attached to Mike's receipt was a note warning him to be sure to keep the receipt and the warranty for the bike.  Well, Mike did just that.  In fact, he kept them for many, many years.  A few years ago, I picked up that scarce little group of documents in an estate sale nearby.  I bought them because, like you, I figured that there probably weren't too many original bicycle warranties with their corresponding receipts that were still after 100+ years.  Your're going to have a better chance of finding those bicycles than you are these documents, the way I see it.  I don't know whatever became of his bicycle, but if it would have been available, I would have bought it and kept it with these papers of course.  That's the way I am I guess.  So now it's your chance to own this proof of a young boys biggest treasure, his bicycle.
