Description

Sterling Camera Corp. 2A-Buddie. Box camera.
McKeown lists only three cameras made by Sterling Camera Corp., Sterling, Ill. None of these are easy to find. Collectiblend cites insufficient examples to give an accurate evaluation, but lists the Buddie No.2A from -100. None found on eBay or elsewhere on Internet as of 2019/12/28.
McKeown, 12th. ed., p.905: Buddie 2A - Box camera for 2 1/2 x 4 1/4" on 116 film. Metal, wood, and cardboard construction, with leatherette covering. Several known examples have an interior black paper label with white lettering which gives the manufacturer's name. On other examples, the only identification is "2A-BUDDIE" on strap. -30.
This model has both the manuafacturer's label and the model name stamped on the leather strap.  Note that the label has the spelling, "Corperation" for Corporation.
Collectiblend (2019/12/28):

Condition: Very Good to Fine. The leatherette (cloth) covering is in fine, collectible shape.  The inside cardboard is scraped where users have not pulled the film winder out far enough when opening the camera to change film. Be careful to do this when inspecting the insides because you could pull the face off the camera by forcing it. The lens is quite clear and should take a fine photo, but the viewers are cloudy and thus useful only in bright sunlight. The shutter fires smoothly every time. In sum, this is a collectible, rather than a user, and a rare one at that.  All photos are the actual camera.
