    Description

    Found this vintage wooden puzzle in grandmother's basement. Guessing it's from the 1930's or 1940's but I really do not know. Color puzzle printed on plywood; reverse side of puzzle is plain wood. Non-interlocking wood pieces. Puzzle is called "Golden October" and is mostly shades of blue, orange, gold, and brown, and is of fall trees and a stream. Lower left corner reads "C.P. Appel." Tiny printing in right lower corner appears to say "Joliet" plus some other words. Original box is missing (if it ever had one); is now in a vintage candy box. One edge piece missing, see photos.
