    Unlike the normal 1862 issues, this issue has a tiny, little 2. A rare variety of the 1862 Quartilla, with the 2 possibly from the octavo?. I have only seen two of these in my years collecting. It is a very neat, subtle variety.  Normally, the 2 is even in size with the other numerals and extends into the base of the monument. While this variety, the 2 leaves a large gap between it and the base of the monument.
    Grades very good. Dark brass color. Cool coin.
